AFRICAN OLYMPIC QUALIFICATION TOUR:
SEYCHELLES WOMEN SEEK THE FIRST OLYMPIC QUALIFICATION


The young aged promising Seychelles women are quiet ready for their first participation in Olympic Games Qualification tour in Nairobi, Kenya 7-10 January 2004. the new emerging team in the African women volleyball will depend on the same players who participated in the last All Africa Games in Abuja, Nigeria October 2003 like the promising spiker,Yvonne Legaie and the intelligent setter Anne Delcy. This team was one of the best teams in the last All Africa Games as it came third in its pool after the gold medalist, Nigeria and the bronze medalist, Kenya.

The head coach, Bernard Denis who was appointed as a successor of Nicol Lesperance, will depend also on some experienced players like the team captain, Jerina Bonne and the libero Antoine Gilbert. The former coach who led his country in the last All Africa Games resigned after the games for his own causes. The team will leave for Kenya 5th January to compete for the only place for Africa in Athens 2004 as four teams will participate; the last African Nations' Championship Egypt, the last All Africa Games Gold Medalist Nigeria, the vice- champions of Africa Kenya and the new emerging Seychelles.
