EL-AHLY CONTINUE LEADING AFRICA CUP
PIPELINE ACHIEVES SECOND WIN OVER INJS


El-Ahly women team of Egypt ended the second day of African cup of Club’s champions on top of the ranking achieving the second win in row over Sonel of Cameroon in straight sets 3/0(25/22-25/14-25/10) to lead the participating teams in set ratio before Pipeline of Kenya, which achieves also the second victory over Injs of Cameroon the black hoarse of the competition 3/1(27/25-22/25-25/19-25/18). Mouloudia of Algeria achieves the first win over Tihad sportive of Morocco 3/0(25/20-25/18-25/13)to get the third place. The host team El-Ahly won its second match after an exciting first set as Sonel team showed good performance specially the setter Asta Gamkoua and spiker Ombassa Sombang and led the first set 11/8 before the superstar Tahany Tosson and the other Ahly players like setter Myral Abd-Elkader, the daughter of the head coach of the team made a complex attacking tactics to regain the lead and won the first set 25/22.In the second and third sets Noran El-maghawry made many spikes to finish the match in 66 minutes.
Pipeline won the most exciting match in the second day over Injs of Cameroon 3/1 in 88 minutes. The national Kenya team star Cathedine Wanjiru led Pipeline to win the first set 27/25 in a very exciting 27 minutes before Injs team showed the best performance in the second set and Mantbana Ambassa led the Cameroon team to equalize the result. In the second and third sets the Kenyans regain the rhythm to win 25/19 and 25/18 in a shorter time.
In the third match Mouloudia of Algeria won easily 3/0 in just 54 minutes with Fayza Tsabet and Naima Belabbas coming as the prominent stars.
