EGYPT NEAR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP SPOT


Durban, South Africa September 30-: Egypt became near a World Championship spot after defeating their archrivals; Tunisia in a very exciting match 3-2 (25-19, 24-26, 25-20, 22-25, 15-12) in 112 minutes of fantastic volleyball skills in the 8th Boys U-19 African Nations Championship in Durban, South Africa.

The organizers, South Africa had a valuable victory over Algeria in another exciting match ended also in a tiebreaker (25-20, 25-23, 18-25, 18-25, 17-15).

Two African teams will qualify to the 2005 Boys U-19 World Championship with another vacancy for the possible organizer, Algeria.

In the first match it was a real battle between the two big African forces Egypt and Tunisia where the solid block of the Egyptians helped their team to have an important victory in a match thought to be an early final for the competition.

In the second match the Algerian players had better skills than their compatriot South Africa but due to the better concentration and motivation of the organizers supported by their spectators they had a very impressing victory after a five setters match.
