Egypt will meet Cameroon in the first match of the semifinal, while Algeria will play Tunisia in the second match, both on Tuesday.

TUNIS- RWANDA

In the first match of the final day of preliminary round Tunis played with the standing players to achieve a rapid victory in just 54 minutes. It was easy for Tunis to lead from the start by the activities of the spikers Noureddine Hfaidh and Khalid Belaid to win the first set easily 25-15. In the second set it was more difficult for Tunis to make the same due to the spikes of the Rwandan player Jeanluc and the better block of Uwamahoro as Rwanda reached twice to the draw point but Tunis ended the set by a group of attacking complexes leaded by the setter Ghazi Guidara to win 25-19. The third set was one side game as Tunis clinched an easy win 25-10

ALGERIA- MOROCCO

The second match between Algeria and Morocco was the most exciting of the day as the Algerian team didn't find it easy to win. In the first set Algeria led from the start using their powerful attacking line Hachemi Hehdi and Bernaoui Krimo, with the best blocker in the match Kerboua Ali to end the set 25-20 in 20 minutes. It went steadily harder for the Algerian team to win the second set as Morocco led several times due to the improved performance of the spiker Khalid Satour and the blocker Abdesamad, but the more experienced Algerian players ended the set narrowly 25-22. The Moroccan players raised their performance to the best in the third set which was the most exciting period of the match. The solid block and the improved back defense led morocco to win the set 25-22 in 24 minutes. Again Algerian players felt the dangerous situation to regain the rhythm and to win the fourth set 25-19 in 22 minutes.

CAMEROON- SOUTH AFRICA

The third match between Cameroon and South Africa was a one side game towards the defending champions as they won in straight sets 25-16, 25-13, 25-22 in 60 minutes. Menva Guy, the Cameroon blocker and the spiker Ndaki Mboulet were the stars of the match as they made a strong net line. The low experienced South African players couldn't face the Cameroon spikes thus the latter led steadily from the first set to make the south Africans the only team to pass the preliminary round without winning a set.

EGYPT- RD CONGO

In the fourth and last match of the day Egyptian team, played with all the 12 players recorded in the list, found it easy to win in straight sets 15-19, 25-11, 25-19 in 60 minutes. Egyptian coach Abelhamid Elwassimy intended to rest the main players for the semifinal important match against Cameroon , and this helps to declare new stars from the substitutes like Saleh Fathy and Nehad Shehata. Congo team was the best in the last set as they made a new score till the second technical time-out due to the improved block of Motombo and Mosange but Egypt ended it in the final points to becomre top of the group.
