TEAMS IN THE SEMIS
Beleida,
Algeria, September 30-: three African teams reached the
semifinal of the volleyball competition of the tenth All Arab
Games in Beleida, Algeria with only one Asian team. Egypt and
Algeria qualified from Pool A while Saudi Arabia and Tunisia
from pool B in the final day of the preliminary round.
In the third day of the preliminary round the newly blooded
Egyptian team had an important straight sets over Algeria to
lead pool A and qualify to the semifinal with Algeria the second
of the pool.
In pool B Tunisia had an important victory over Qatar in a
thriller 3-2 match to came second and qualify to the semifinal
with the leader of the pool Saudi Arabia which had a great 3-1
victory over Tunisia since 24 hours.
In the semifinal Egypt will meet Tunisia, Friday while Saudi
Arabia play Algeria.
