GAMES:
EGYPT AND ALGERIA TO FINAL SPOT

Algeria, October 1-: Egypt and Algeria
reached to the final spot of the volleyball
competition of the tenth All Arab Games in
Beleida, Algeria after their victories over
Tunisia and Saudi Arabia in the semifinal
Friday to make the final a pure African
match.
Egypt team used a mixture of experienced
players and some young players to take the
revenge from Tunisian team which defeated
Egypt in the last three matches including
their game in the 2003 World Cup in Japan.
They had a 3-1 victory in 65 minutes of
fantastic volleyball.
Algeria played their best match in the
competition to defeat the only Asian team in
the semifinal, Saudi Arabia 3-1 after an
exciting match.
Egypt will meet Algeria in the final for
gold and silver medals Saturday, while Saudi
Arabia will play Tunisia for the bronze
medal. |
