AGAZA AND DOUANES, TOGO CHAMPIONS
Togo Volleyball Federation made a big ceremony at the
end of 2003-2004 season which revealed As Douanes club
as men’s champion and Agaza de lome as women’s champion.
Benin Volleyball men and women National teams were
invited to attend the ceremony as they met their
respective Togo teams in friendly matches. In the Men’s
match Togo had 3-1 victory over Benin and the latter’s
women took the revenge to win 3-1 over Togo.
The local competition in Togo was very successful as it
attracted many spectators more than the previous
seasons. In men’s competition, 12 teams participated
where a big clash occurred between the two big forces;
AS Douanes and Agaza and ended with a narrow Douanes win
with 22 points, only one point more than Agaza. Etoile
Fialnte came third with 20 piopnts.
The matter was the same in women’s competition but Agaza
had a narrow win over Douanes this time in the five
clubs’ championship. Bulls came third with one point
deficit.
