Busy Season for Morocco Volleyball
Gala Championship is a new Build up for African Volleyball

Morocco Volleyball Federation is preparing for one of the most busy seasons to go further steps towards the continental and International levels. At the international level, Morocco will represent Africa in 2005 Men's U-21 World Championship in India 6-14 August with the other African Compatriot Tunisia. Morocco will also organize the second African Men's Gala Championship which comes as one of the new strategy between Europe and Africa under supervision of FIVB President Dr. Ruben Acosta.
Morocco will also continue their big start in the Beach volleyball level after their success last year in the Satellite volleyball championship. Finally the federation will organize a coaching Symposium during the Gala Championship instructed by the Russian Yuri Chesnokov.
"We are looking forwards to have a very successful season" Said Morocco Volleyball President Mr. Abdelhady Ghazali. "The Gala Championship will be a great chance to communicate with the European teams and will be an important factor to improve our volleyball. The federation is preparing the youth team to be a good picture for African Volleyball in the World Championship in India as it is the team prepared for the Morocco revolution in the coming years" He concluded.
Gala championship will show 4 teams competing for the second Afro-European competition which showed its first version two years ago in Abuja, Nigeria. Morocco and Tunisia will represent the African continent, while Portugal and England will be the European side.
The competition will be a round robin form 23-28 August between the four teams.
CAVB Ex. Committee member Mrs. Touria Araab is doing her best to encourage the Moroccan women gender to improve as she is responsible for one of the most famous women teams in the Morocco women league through encouraging the young promising girls to play volleyball in the youth competitions.
