Egypt women team won the most successful African Nations
Championship in Nairobi, Nigeria to qualify to the world
cup in Japan 1-15 November 2003 and to become the sixth
Egyptian team to qualify to a big FIVB competition after
senior men and women in the World Championships 2002,
Boys Under 19, Men's Under 21 and Girls Under 18 in

Benin won the eighth Francophone Solidarity Tournament
which was held this month in Niamey, Niger Capital. Five
Francophone countries participated in this competition
all from the western part of the continent, Benin,
Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger and Togo.
