EGYPT AND MOROCCO BOYS LEAVE CAIRO
FOR WORLD BOYS’ CHAMPIONSHIP

Egypt and Morocco boys teams will leave together Egypt for Thailand tomorrow ( Tuesday) to participate in the 8th Boys’ U-19 World Championship after finishing together the last camping in Cairo. Egypt and Morocco teams played 4 friendly matches in Cairo Stadium during the 7 days camping of Morocco in Egypt in their way to Thailand. Egypt won 3 matches in the same result 3/1, while Morocco won one match 3/1.
Both teams pass very hard circumstances in their preparation to the World Championship as the age of their players coincide with the final year of the secondary schools, and thus they ended the final year exams very late and consequently their preparation was postponed till only days before leaving for the World Championship. But the condition for Morocco players was better as they finished the Exams in 15th June, While Egyptian players ended their exams only today i.e. one day before leaving for Thailand. The players were examined in the morning then went directly to the training or the friendly matches. Ihab Fakhr El-Deen, the Egyptian head coach said that he was in need of only two more weeks to well prepare his players and get rid of exams stress, but he promised to achieve good results.
Egypt, the Africa champions in this age category will play in Pool B with Slovakia, Russia and China, while Morocco the African vice-champions will play in Pool D with Italy, Iran and Netherlands.
