AFRICAN NATIONS’ CHAMPIONSHIP OFFICIALS DETERMINED
CAVB determined the officials of the 14th Men’s African Nations’ Championship known to be held in Cairo 1-10 August 2003. Mr. Tubby Reddy (South Africa) is charged Control committee President, Mr. Ghazali (Morocco) as a Technical Delegate, Camilo Antao (Mozambique) as SOC Delegate and Agufobi (Nigeria) as Referee Committee delegate.
Mali confirmed absence of its team from participation due to financial causes to leave 11 teams till now confirming participation in what is expected to be the strongest ever-African Nations’ Competition. The participating countries are Egypt, Tunisia, Cameroon, Senegal, Rwanda, Kenya, Algeria, Morocco, Uganda, Cote D’Ivoire, and South Africa.
The African Champions will Qualify automatically to the 2003 FIVB World Cup in Japan 16-30 November.
