Egypt meets the star studded Russian team with the return back of all outstanding players

Kazan, Egypt, June 15, 2007- : In the fourth weekend of the 2007 World League, Russia will play Egypt in ancient Kazan hall whose millennium was widely celebrated last year. It will be the first match to be held in Kazan after Russia hosted Serbia in the first weekend at Krylatskoye hall in Moscow. The team Kazan of this city, became the champion of Russia a month ago, and now the city will be the venue of the most prestigious event all over the World with the best teams in the world participating.

The last meeting of competitors took place just a week ago in Cairo and the result was 3:0 to the more experienced and titled team of Russia. At this weekend the hosts are playing in a stronger composition, because Semen Poltavsky, Alexey Kazakov and Alexey Kuleshov will take part in these games for the first time in this year’s competition.

The Polish head coach of Egypt Grzegorz Rys is very optimistic with his players to show their consistency as they did in all their matches in the World League till now. “Match by match we improve and the performance of my players is progressively advancing and this is a good sign before our important involvements in the African competitions this year specially the African Nation’s Championship and the 2008 Olympic Qualification.” Rys said.

The head coach of The National Team of Russia, Vladimir Alekno said: "During an intercontinental round we are deciding certain tasks according the level of our players' training. So the added player to the squad, who will be involved in the games, starting from the second half of the preliminary stage, is planned in advance according to our strategy."
