Egypt added two players to
face Serbia in the second weekend

Serbia, May 30, 2007-: Egypt added two main players to the squad
which played the first weekend of the 2007 World League against
Cuba in Havana to Face Serbia in the second weekend matches 1
and 2 June. The strong opposite Ahmed Salah and the efficient
right attacker Mahmoud Abdel Kader join the team on Wednesday in
Serbia after the first ended his short professional career in
United Arab Emirates and the second ended his last year exam.
The two players will add to the strength of the team which lost
both matches in the first weekend against Cuba 3-1 and 3-0
before meeting Serbia which lost also twice against Russia in
the first weekend in Moscow in the same set score.
Both team search for the first victory in the second weekend
when both national teams meet for the first time in history
after Egypt met the former Yugoslavia only once in the European
Championship in Romania 1955.
"I think we can play better now after the return back of our
strong right attacker Ahmed Salah who was our main star in the
last World Championship in Japan 2006." Said the Polish Head
Coach of Egypt Grzegorez Rys after his team arrived directly
from Cuba to Serbia to make a short camp before the second
weekend. "We will improve match by match like the last year's
competition after we add all our absent stars. We had now two
important key players; the main setter Abdalla Abdel Salam and
the team captain Hamdy El Safy, both will join the team from the
third week end in Cairo." He added
