The first Open Beach
Volleyball Championship in Cote d’Ivoire ends successfully
 Abidjan,
Cote d’Ivoire, February 23, 2010- The Cote d’Ivoire Volleyball
Federation (FIVVB) organized successfully the first open Beach
volleyball tournament at Aleria route de Bassam 30 Kilometers
from Abidjan by the Atlantic Ocean.
The competition showed 16 teams competing for the men’s title
and another 16 teams for the women’s category that played in a
knock out system. The final of the women’s competition showed
Les Anges (composing of Yeboue Affoué Ange- Augustine and Kanene
Veronique) and Owlave (Kablan Marcia Pereira and Abekan Larissa)
teams competing for the gold medal. Owlave team won the final
2-0 to win the gold.
Bombardier (composing of Kacek Abbas and Ossama El Jawad) and
JJP (Yao Patrick and Konate Abdoul) teams qualified to the final
of the men competition. Bombardier won the gold after beating
JJP 2-0 in the final.
The competition was highly covered by the local media and showed
the attendance of about 250 spectators.

16 paires en hommes et 16 paires en dames y ont participé, soit
64 athlètes.
La compétition s’est déroulée en éliminatoire directe ; soit 8
matchs en 1/8 finales, 4 matchs en ¼ finales, 2 matchs en ½
finales et la finale. Au total 15 matchs dames et 15 matchs
hommes de 10 h à 17 heures.
Public : 250 spectateurs ont effectué le déplacement d’ALERIA

Classement : 1er : OWLAVE, 2ème LES ANGES et 3ème : Les EXPERTES

Vainqueur : BOMBARDIER qui bat JPP Par 2 sets à 0
