Cairo, Egypt, April 26, 2009- The African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB) President Dr. Amr Elwani closed the coaches and VIS course attended by 30 participants which comes in the framework of the Development Plan adopted by the CAVB Board of Administration. The 6 days course was very successful and fulfilled all the necessary items for all the modern tools of coaching.

The coaches course was instructed by two of the famous FIVB instructors Mr. Abdel Hamid El Wassimy who presented many recent programs in coaching and the court tactics and also Sherif El Shemerly who had different theoretical and practical lectures. The VIS course was instructed by Tomazs Kuropka from Poland and continued his practical lectures during the ongoing Men’s African Club Championship at Al Ahly club in Cairo.

All the participating coaches were very satisfied by the course and expressed their cheers to attend this event and promised to use the items they gained to share in the improvement of their countries and zones.

The theoretical part of the course was hosted at the Egyptian Olympic committee Hall in Cairo, while the practical was in Al Ahly club, the host of the African competition.

He promised the attending federations to continue the development peripherally in the continental zones. “It is nice now to see the result of this course and the standard of the participants but we hope to work one hand to use practically the results of this course,” said Elwani while he was giving the certificates to the participants. “I want also here to thank the FIVB and its President Mr. Wei for their full support technically and financially.” He added.
