He pointed out that all the to ECAVCO officials will attend the event since there will be a meeting to strategize for the year ending event which will be the Entebbe International Beach Volleyball slated for Uganda in December.

The ECAVCO Secretary General encouraged member countries to ensure that they enter teams for tournaments within the region since through competition is when they can gauge whether standards of volleyball in their respective countries is on the rise or on the decline.

“Even we in ECAVCO do not have funds but we are talking to potential sponsors to come and partner with us by funding our tournaments, seminars and courses,” said Owiti adding that the regional volleyball governing body is also looking for a sponsor to facilitate the running of its secretariat.
