Algeria Men’s volleyball team prepare in Italy for the Arab championship

Alger, Algeria, December 3, 2008- The Algerian Men’s volleyball team will start on Thursday a preparation Camp in Italy for the coming Arab Nations Championship to be held in Manama, Bahrain 18- 23 December 2008. The camp will coincide with the celebrations of Aid El Adha next week but it was essential for the Algerian team that will be one of the great favorites for the title of Arab competition with the defending champions Tunisia.

Leaving their families during one of the most important Islamic celebrations, the Algerian players are excited to train well in the framework of their ambitious preparation program to the Arab as well as the African Nations championship next year which will proof the ascending curve of the Algerian volleyball in the last few years.

The technical staff of the Algerian National team led by Samir Zitouni and Fayçal Bencharif choose 11 players from the local league and 3 professional from outside the country. The local players are Amine Oumessaad; Messaoud Debbih; Bilal Soualem; Hamza Adrar; Brahim Laouada, Adel Mahmoudi (GSP) Khaled Kessai (MBBj) Toufik Mahjoubi (PoChlef), Nassim Tertag, Chahine (Etoile Setif) Lyes Houri et Yacine Lam Ari (TIr Sétif). The three professional are Hichem Guemmadi, Ali Kerboua (Al Nasr Dubai), Mohamed Cheikhi (Elwasl Emirates).

The Arab championship will comprise six national teams which are the defending champions Tunisia, Algeria, Qatar, Oman, United Arab Emirates and the organizers Bahrain.

Les volleyeurs ce jeudi en Italie

Dans le cadre de sa préparation aux 16e championnat arabe des nations seniors homme de volley-ball prévu du 18 au 23 décembre 08 a Manama (Bahreïn) notre équipe nationale s envolera ce jeudi matin 04 décembre 08 a destination de Rome (Italie) pour un ultime stage précompétitif jusqu au 13 décembre 08 dans la ville de Perruche

Les joueurs passeront l Aid El Adha en Italie avec le sympathique chef délégation Nordine Madiou (un habitue a accompagne l équipe nationale) et le revenant Sid Ali Roubai (charge du logistique )

Pour ce déplacement transalpin le staff technique ; Samir Zitouni et Fayçal Bencharif ont choisis les dix (11) athlètes qui évoluent dans le championnat national a savoir; Amine Oumessaad ; Messaoud Debbih ; Bilal Soualem ; Hamza Adrar ;Brahim Laouada, Adel Mahmoudi(GSP) Khaled Kessai (MBBj) Toufik Mahjoubi (PoChlef )Nassim Tertag, Chahine (Etoile Setif )Lyes Houri et Yacine Lam Ari (TIr Sétif )

Aux quels s'ajouteront les trois (3) professionnels qui sont ; Hichem Guemmadi , Ali Kerboua( Al Nasr Dubai ),Mohamed Cheikhi (Elwast Emartie )

Il est rappeler au cours de cette 16e édition il y aura uniquement six (6) nations qui prendront part a cette competition arabe (non reconnue par la fivb ) qui sont Algérie, Tunisie (tenant), Qatar, Sultanat d'Oman, les Emirats Arabes Unis et le Bahreïn pays organisateur.
