Maputo,
Mozambique, November 28, 2008- Mozambique organized a VCP
referee course in Maputo, Mozambique early this month. The
course was instructed by the FIVB instructor Abdel Majeed Djerad
from Tunisia who expressed his full satisfaction with the
standard of the participants and the condition of the course.
The course included a theoretical part in Avenida and Kaya
Kwanga Hotels and another practical part at the Sports
University and Academica Sportsground.
The opening and closing ceremonies were attended by some sports
authorities led by the National Director of Sports Mr. Inacio
Bernardo who present the certificates to the participants at the
end of the course.
The course featured 49 participants out of them 41 passed the
exams and received the certificates.
“We are very happy to organize this course under the umbrella of
the World volleyball governing body, The FIVB and we hope to use
this course to improve our referees at the continental
competitions then at the international championships.” Said
Mozambique Volleyball Federation President Mr. Camilo Antao who
is also the CAVB Sports Council President. “I need every referee
to work hard using this course to improve his standard in the
coming competitions.” He added.
