2008 CAVB Technical Commission meeting
Ambitious Strategic
Planning and special care to the development and Management
courses
Cairo,
Egypt, October 11, 2008- CAVB technical commission had a
fruitful meeting in the CAVB Headquarters headed by the African
Volleyball Confederation President Dr. Amr Elwani and produced a
successful plan for the sport to be applied at Both CAVB and
National Federation levels. The meeting was attended by CAVB
vice Presidents Mr. Baba Sy and Louis Majore Timba, the board
member Abdelhadi Ghzali, CAVB referee commission president
Hassan Ahmed and CAVB technical director Mrs. Howyda Mondy.
One of the most important outcomes of the meeting was the
Management courses to be held in starting from 2009 centrally in
Cairo and peripherally in all the continental zones. The courses
will be under the titles of Strategic Planning, National
Federation Management and marketing and Public relations.
On the other hand there will be other regular courses on how to
organizer CAVB competitions, and procedure of participation in
all CAVB activities.
The technical commission put the new model of the Coaches
courses in the continent with increasing activity on the less
developed countries.
The meeting also was fruitful in putting the rules and
regulations of the new continental beach volleyball competitions
which will help in making the new African ranking of beach
volleyball teams.
In terms of CAVB support and aids to National Federations a new
strategy will be applied to support office and technical
equipments as well as the technical support with coaches and
manpower.
Mr. Hassan Ahmed put also a proposal to increase the number of
referees in the different African zones to increase subsequently
the number of the continental international referees.
“We are in the right tract to improve our sport through pour
ambitious program in the coming years to continue our hard work
through the last years.” Said CAVB President Dr. Amr Elwani. “We
need the help of all the experts in the continent specially the
CAVB Board which should work hard to implement the strategic
planning.” He added.
