2008 Olympic Games Algeria Women started the long term preparations Alger, Algeria, March 15, 2008- The Algerian volleyball Women’s team started on Sunday their long term preparations to the finals of the 29th Olympic Games in Beijing, China next August as they started a local camp in Alger during which the precious medical examination will be done for all the selected players who will share in the Olympic Games. The team will train twice daily till 22 of March at Zeralda hall under supervision of their head coach Ikheji Boussaid who will supervise the medical examination done by the medical staff and the National Olympic Committee. The coach selected 10 players from the local league who will be joined later by the European based professionals. The selected local players are Abderahim Mouni, Aissou Tassaadit, Boukemia Safia (Asw Bejaia) Hamouche Salima, Azzem Yamina, Mansouri Nawel, Madani Narimane (Nc Bejaia) Oukazi F-Zohra, Akkouche (Benhamouda McAlger). He also selected Mouloudia player Draa Dalal who were injured before the 2007 All Africa Games in Blida. It is well known that Algeria is one of 8 countries already secured their vacancies from the Olympic qualifications all over the world with the organizers China, the top three countries in the 2007 World Cup Italy, Brazil and USA, the European representative Russia, Norceca representative Cuba and Venezuela from South America. The last four teams will be determined through the World and Asian qualifications in Japan 17-25 May.
