2008 CAVB commission meetings

Implementation of the CAVB ambitious Development Plan

Cairo, Egypt, March 6, 2008- CAVB commission meetings started on Thursday in the CAVB Headquarters in Cairo, Egypt to discuss the development plan that was proposed by CAVB President Dr. Amr Elwani during the 2007 CAVB Congress in Nairobi, Kenya last October.

The first commission to start the meeting will be the Sports organizing Committee SOC to discuss the new plan of African competition and the new demands for the organizers to co apt with the FIVB competition requirements. The commission will put also the regulations of the Beach Volleyball club competition that was approved by both CAVB board and Congress.

The technical commission will discuss the all the items of the Development Plan that was proposed in the 2007 Congress.

“We are working together to improve our beloved sports through the most experienced people in the field of African volleyball,” Said CAVB president Dr. Amr Ewani. “We hope to end our fruitful meetings with the great success we want for volleyball specially in Beach volleyball which is considered an important branch that need to progress.” He added
