Successful coaches course level I in Nigeria

Abuja, Nigeria, December 7, 2007- Nigeria Volleyball Federation organized a successful coaches course level I in Abuja, Nigeria 19-30 November 2007 with the collaboration of the Nigerian Ministry of sport and the National Olympic Committee. The course was held under good material and organization conditions.

The course was directed by CAVB Vice President and coaches commission president Mr. Abdoulaye Baba SY and was assisted by Cameroonian Blaise Re-Niof MAYAM. The course saw the participation of 28 trainees including 5 women and 3 observers come from all the states of Nigeria. Thus on the 25 participants who took share with examination 20 succeeded and passed the course.

The success of this course came through the excellent collaboration between the Ministry of sports, the National Olympic Committee, and the National Federation as their engagement achieved success at this stage after a long time since the last course in Nigeria which was held in ASSABA-DELTA State in 2000.

Mr. Baba SY took this opportunity and thanked all the participants for their fruitful work. “I thank also the organizers for their regular availability in particular Engr. Habu Gumel the president of National Volleyball Federation and National Olympic Committee and his staff for their assistance and support to bring this course to complete success. We want the participants to use their certificates positively to enhance our sport mot only in Nigeria but also all through our continent.” Baba Sy said.
