FIVB Development Centre for
South Africa
South
Africa, November 21, 2007- South Africa will be going to have
the honor of hosting another FIVB Development Centre in Africa
following the active preparations of the South African
Volleyball activities led by FIVB’s newly elected Board member,
VSA President, Tubby Reddy who also serves on the World Body’s
Development Commission to persuade the FIVB to establish this
centre there to help the South African countries to have more
development courses in that area which will aim to improve the
volleyball infrastructure in this area.
According to Reddy plans are afoot to identify and set up such a
centre. The centre will become fully operational once the FIVB
gives its approval following an in-loco inspection of the
facility.
On the other hand South Africa Volleyball Federation started to
relaunch the SA Volleyball web site (www.volleyballsa.co.za)
which will include all the National Federation activities. The
federation will produce also an official newsletter which will
be a proper guide to the Media about all the competitions.
“My congratulations go to the Media Directorate on its re-launch
of our official newsletter, “SA Volley News” which co-incides
with the revival of the VSA website,” Tubby Reddy said. “These
crucial vehicles of communication will not only enhance our
efforts to disseminate information to our affiliates but also
allow the media and relevant stakeholders to access volleyball
related information more swiftly. I am extending an invitation
to our affiliates to submit newsworthy items for possible
inclusion in our news letter.” He added.
