Board of administration Evaluate the implementation of Volleyball Develpoment
Nairobi, Kenya, October 24, 2007-: CAVB Board will meet on Thursday here at Red court hall in Nairobi, Kenya prior to the CAVB ordinary Congress to he held in the same hall 26 and 27 October 2007. The board will evaluate the implementation of the decisions taken by the board in the last two years since the last congress in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt 2005.

The meeting presided by CAVB President Dr. Amr Elwani will study the African competitions with the new system of making zonal qualifications which allowed more participation of National teams reaching to a record of 30 teams out of 53 affiliated National Federations. These zonal competitions were considered as qualifications to 2007 All Africa games. The board also will study the implementation of the CAVB Beach Volleyball Programme after the Headquarters organized the first beach volleyball clinic in February 2007 in Cairo with the participation of more than 60 participants.

The board will also study more integration of all development programme wither under the umbrella of FIVB or CAVB.
The board will settle on the final preparation of the Congress to be in Nairobi where the new system of the competitions will be proposed to the attendance specially after the club competitions attracted more teams in the last two years.
“We will be one hand in this congress for sake of our progress and continue our hard work which allowed us to develop our beloved sport towards the world level,” CAVB President Dr. Amr Elwani said. “Development of our continental competitions and starting the actual continental Beach Volleyball circuits is our main target in the coming period so we want to be one hand to achieve our promising goals.” He added.
