2007 Women's African Nations Championship
Algeria Women Prepare in Cairo
Camp

Algeria, August 12, 2007-: Algeria Women's Volleyball team
started their active preparations for the sixteenth African
Nations Championship to be held in Nairobi, Kenya 4-12 September
through a local camp at the OMS de Zéralda Hall and the Lycée
national sportif of Draria in Alger, Algeria.
The star studded Algerian team will end their preparation
pogramme with another camp in Cairo, Egypt from 27 August till
the first of September where they will play friendly matches
against the big Egyptian clubs and the Egyptian national team
who will prepare for the same competition. The Algerian team
will leave cairo directly for Nairobi to play the African
Nations
The last All Africa Games Gold medalists will be great favorites
for the title with the defending champions Kenya and All Africa
Games silver medalists, Cameroon as well as the usual
competitors Egypt and Nigeria.
the Algerian women led by the efficient spiker Faiza Tsabet and
the French based professional Lydia Oloumou will depend mainly
on the same group of players who won the gold medal ion All
Africa games.

Volley-ball: L’EN filles en préparation
Après avoir eu un temps très court pour savourer la médaille
d’or remportée le 22 juillet 2007 à Blida, lors des 9e Jeux
africains 2007, nos volleyeuses ont repris les préparations en
prévision du 16e Championnat d’Afrique des nations seniors dames
de volley-ball qui aura lieu du 1er au 12 septembre 2007 à
Nairobi (Kenya). Ainsi, les coéquipières de Tsabet Faïza sont en
regroupement du 4 au 23 août 2007 à l’hôtel Mehdi (Alger) pour
des entraînements à la salle OMS de Zéralda et la salle du Lycée
national sportif de Draria (Alger), ensuite elles s’envoleront à
destination du Caire (Egypte) pour l’ultime stage précompétitif
du 27 août au 1er septembre où elles disputeront des matches
amicaux face à des clubs égyptiens.
