Experienced Instructors for the first CAVB Beach Volleyball Clinic

The Confederation of African Volleyball CAVB contacted both the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) and the European confederation (CEV) to bring a big experienced instructors to conduct the first CAVB Beach Volleyball clinic to be held at CAVB headquarters in Cairo, Egypt form 10 to 15 April before the implementation of the first beach volleyball competition at the club level this year.

CAVB President Dr. Amr Elwani contacted both FIVB Beach Volleyball coordinator Mr. Angelo Squeo and CEV President Mr. Andre Meyer to get their support to bring this clinic to complete success because it will be considered as a big occasion to start the continental Beach volleyball programme in a proper way.

"We hope to use this clinic to start our continental beach volleyball programme in the correct style to reach the World level and start the proper participation in the biggest FIVB events like the World Tours and the World Championships," Said CAVB President Elwani. "We want also to use the experience of CAVB Beach Volleyball Commission President Dr. Abdelrazak Allam who had very successful competitions in Morocco and also a big Satellite competition and to copy this success all over the contient zones,"

"We plan to host this clinic in CAVB headquarters in Cairo, Egypt for 10 to 15 April 2007 and it will be decentralized to all the CAVB Zones in the Future." Elwani added.

Participants from 10 countries are expected to participate in this clinic. It is well known that the CAVB Board of Administration decided last year to implement the first ever continental beach volleyball competition at the club level with many tours all over the continental zones and to start the African ranking according to the results of these competitions owing to the beach volleyball commission recommendations which was supported by the attendance of CAVB first vice president Mr. Tubby Reddy and CAVB vice president Mr. Baba Sy as well as CAVB Beach Volleyball Commission President Abdelrazak Allam in Cairo last month.
