2006 volleyball World championships:

Tunisia named Final World Championship Squad
Tunis, Tunisia, October 24-: The Italian Head Coach of Tunisia Men's Volleyball team, Jiacobe Antonio has finally named his team's final squad of 12 players to participate in the coming Men's World Championship to start in Japan November 17 with most of the experienced stars who participated in the last competition in Argentina 2002. The team will start the final preparation programme through a camp in Italy 28 October to 4 November including five friendly matches against the big Italian clubs.
The final squad included this generation most talented star Nour Eddine Hfeadh who was chosen many times as the African best volleyball player after he had a short professional life in the Japanese Volleyball League after long history in the French and Greece clubs. The French based brilliant setter Ghazi Guidara who returned back to the Tunisian club of Esperence is also included as the main setter. Included also in the squad are the experienced Middle blocker Chaker Ghzal and the strong attacker Khald Belaid who passed two seasons in the Italian League.
The team will return back to its homelands before finalizing the preparation through the last camp in Korea from which the team will leave directly to Japan to participate in the prestigious FIVB event.
The final 12 players of Tunisia in the World Championship will be Ghazi Guidara, Samir Sellami (Setters), Mohamed Trabelsi, Chaker Ghzal, Eskander Ben Dara (Middle Blockers), Nour Eddine Hfeadh, Walid Abbas, Ayman Ben Breek, Khalid Belaid (Attackers), Kara Mosli (Opposite), Amin Belsoror (Libero).
Tunisia will compete in Pool D in the World championship finals with the last runner up Russia, Canada, Kazakhstan, Korea and Serbia Montenegro with their objective to pass the first round.
