Declared Full Support to Dr. Acosta as
he attended Zone Meeting in Benin
Cotonou,
Benin, April 9-: CAVB President, Dr. Amr
Elwani declared that he had a lot of
programmes to develop volleyball in the
Western part of the continent with the
great support of the World Volleyball
Governing Body FIVB and its president
Dr. Ruben Acosta in a press conference
held at VIP lounge in CADJEHOUN in Benin
international airport upon his arrival
to Benin Capital of Cotonou to attend
African Zone II and zone III meeting on
Wednesday in one of his continental
visits to enhance the big attendance of
African countries in the FIVB Congress
to be held in Japan, October 2006.
He added that Dr. Acosta will continue
his technical and financial support to
help the continent to achieve the
development projects to reach to the
World level after the great progress in
the last few years at the FIVB
competitions.
"I'm
coming here to implement our development
plans all over the continent and we
choose Benin after their great success
in hosting the last years Men's African
Clubs Champions Championship," Said Dr.
Elwani in an interview for Golfe TV in
Benin. "I'm very proud of my visit to
Benin and send my deep thanks to Benin
Volleyball Federation, Mr. Dominique
ATCHAWE and all the Board members for
the hospitality and the good arrangement
for such important meeting" He added.
Mr. ATCHAWE expressed that he is very
happy with the care received from both
FIVB and CAVB last year when Benin
hosted one of the most important CAVB
competitions in the club level with the
participation of 11 teams and now we
host the most prestigious meeting with
the participation of twelve countries.
In

Volleyball Federation, Mr. AGBODIAN
Prince president of Togo Volleyball
Federation the delegates representing
all Zone countries announce their fully
support to Dr. Acosta as the only
candidate for Africa in the elections of
2006 congress.
